About Me

I love to act and sing. I love to make music. I love to create. I love to perform. I love to collaborate with others.

As an actor and a singer, I am a member of the Actors Equity Association and the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. My most favorite role that I got to play was Anne Frank. As a composer, I am a member of the Dramatists Guild Fund, have written lots of songs, and have completed three musicals, THE LITTLE RED LIGHTHOUSE AND THE GREAT GRAY BRIDGE and PLAYGROUND, and NURSERY SCHOOL. I am currently writing songs for other shows, including REMEMBER THE LADIES.

I am also the creator and CEO of Jess And Friends, LLC, the popular floating music studio in NYC and Boston. Our dynamic team teaches private music lessons on various instruments to children and to grown-ups including several people in the Broadway community. I'm created the Jess And Friends Web Series that focuses on music education for children and families.

I live in Washington Heights with my husband, Professor Benjamin L. Carp, and our four children, Ketzel (cat), Flipper (cat), Hooper (muppet), and Jedidiah (human).
